The Donegal House clock sits proudly on the front of the grade II building and was donate to the citizens of Lichfield by Mrs M A Swinfen Broun in November 1928.
With the exception of the internal workings the clock was restored in 2015 by world renowned restorers Smith of Derby. Unfortunately the clock had been losing time, this resulted in the original internal gearing being replaced with an electric motor.
There is a promise that the City Council will display the original working from the clock at some point in the future.
